Can you schedule posts on Threads?
Yes. Threads added scheduling in its own app, and Meta's official Threads API lets tools like Postuva publish text, photos, carousels and videos on your behalf. Unlike Instagram, Threads doesn't require a business account; any profile can be connected.
The advantage of a scheduler is that Threads rarely stands alone. Most people who post on Threads also post on X, Bluesky or Mastodon. Postuva lets you write once and get a version for each: 500 characters for Threads, 280 for X, 300 for Bluesky and 500 for Mastodon.

How do I schedule a Threads post with Postuva?
- Connect Threads. Open Channels and press Connect next to Threads. Meta's sign-in opens in a pop-up; approve access for Postuva.
- Write the post. Press New post and write up to 500 characters. Add up to 10 photos for a carousel or one video.
- Add X and Bluesky (optional). Select your X, Bluesky or Mastodon channels too and press Tailor for each network to fit each one's limit.
- Schedule. Pick the time and press Schedule. The post publishes at that minute and links to the live thread.
What works on Threads?
Threads is conversational. Posts that ask a genuine question, share an opinion or show work in progress tend to get more replies than polished announcements. Write like you'd talk, keep one idea per post and reply to the people who answer.
Links don't seem to hurt reach on Threads the way they can on some networks, but a short line of context before the link still gets more clicks. Photos and carousels stand out in a mostly text feed, so a real photo of your product, workspace or team is worth adding when you have one.
How is Threads different from X and Bluesky?
The differences matter when you cross-post. A 450-character Threads post won't fit on X, and a four-image limit means a ten-photo carousel has to be trimmed. Postuva's composer shows each network's version on its own tab with its own counter, and won't schedule a version a network would reject.

What happens if a scheduled Threads post fails?
Networks refuse posts for a handful of reasons: an expired connection, media in a format they don't accept, a caption over the limit or a temporary outage on their side. Postuva handles each one differently. Temporary errors (timeouts, rate limits, the network being down) are retried automatically after one minute, five minutes and thirty minutes. Permanent errors are not retried, because sending the same broken request again only wastes time.
When a post can't be published, it turns red on the calendar and shows Threads's exact error message, not a vague “something went wrong”. If Threads' access has expired, the channel shows a Reconnect button. Fix the cause, press Retry and the post goes out straight away.

Is it safe to connect Threads to Postuva?
Yes. Postuva connects through Threads's official sign-in, which opens in a small pop-up window on Threads's own website. You approve exactly what Postuva may do there; Postuva never sees your password. The access token Threads returns is encrypted with AES-256-GCM before it's stored, and it's only decrypted at the moment a post is published.
You can disconnect at any time, either from Postuva's Channels page or from Threads' Settings → Account → Website permissions. Disconnecting deletes the stored token immediately. Posts already published stay on Threads; scheduled posts for that channel stop.
How much does it cost to schedule Threads posts?
The free plan includes 3 channels, 30 scheduled posts a month and 20 AI rewrites, with no time limit and no card. That's enough to schedule Threads alongside two other networks and see whether planning ahead works for you.
Paid plans start at $15 a month (Creator: 10 channels, unlimited posts, 300 AI rewrites). Pro at $29 adds approvals, extra workspaces and team members, and Agency at $79 covers 150 channels for client work. Yearly billing gives you two months free. Every plan includes every network, so Threads never costs extra.
