Why does Postuva post to my profile and not to subreddits?

Every subreddit has its own rules: required flairs, banned link domains, minimum account age and karma, and moderators who remove anything that looks automated or promotional. Posting the same scheduled message into communities is the fastest way to get an account banned, and it's against Reddit's rules on spam.

Your profile is different. It's your own space, it has followers, and posts there can still show up in Reddit and Google search. Postuva posts there, which is reliable and within Reddit's rules. When you want to share something in a community, use your scheduled profile post as the source and post it to the subreddit yourself, following that community's rules.

How do I schedule a Reddit post with Postuva?

  1. Connect Reddit. Open Channels and press Connect next to Reddit. Reddit's sign-in opens in a pop-up; approve access for Postuva.
  2. Write the title. Press New post. The first line becomes the post title, up to 300 characters. Make it specific: Reddit readers skip vague titles.
  3. Add the body, link or image. Everything after the first line is the post text. Add an image or include a link to make it an image or link post.
  4. Schedule. Pick the time and press Schedule. The post appears on your profile at that minute.

What makes a good Reddit post?

Reddit rewards posts that are useful or interesting on their own. Share what you learned, show your work, explain how you did something, and answer questions in the comments. Posts that read like ads are downvoted quickly, even on your own profile.

Titles carry most of the weight: say exactly what the post is about. “I rebuilt our checkout and conversion went from 1.8% to 2.6%: here's what changed” will be read; “Big news!” won't. Postuva's AI can draft a Reddit version of your idea with a plain, specific title, and it keeps only facts you wrote.

One post, three versions: LinkedIn gets the story, X gets the hook, Bluesky gets the short version. Counters show each network's limit.

Is it allowed to schedule Reddit posts?

Yes. Reddit's API terms allow apps to submit posts on behalf of a signed-in user, which is exactly what Postuva does through Reddit's official OAuth sign-in. What Reddit doesn't allow is spam: mass-posting the same content, vote manipulation or posting into communities that ban self-promotion.

Postuva sends one post per scheduled time to your own profile, identifies itself to Reddit with a proper user agent and respects Reddit's rate limits, so your account stays in good standing.

What happens if a scheduled Reddit post fails?

Networks refuse posts for a handful of reasons: an expired connection, media in a format they don't accept, a caption over the limit or a temporary outage on their side. Postuva handles each one differently. Temporary errors (timeouts, rate limits, the network being down) are retried automatically after one minute, five minutes and thirty minutes. Permanent errors are not retried, because sending the same broken request again only wastes time.

When a post can't be published, it turns red on the calendar and shows Reddit's exact error message, not a vague “something went wrong”. If Reddit's access has been revoked, the channel shows a Reconnect button. Fix the cause, press Retry and the post goes out straight away.

Is it safe to connect Reddit to Postuva?

Yes. Postuva connects through Reddit's official sign-in, which opens in a small pop-up window on Reddit's own website. You approve exactly what Postuva may do there; Postuva never sees your password. The access token Reddit returns is encrypted with AES-256-GCM before it's stored, and it's only decrypted at the moment a post is published.

You can disconnect at any time, either from Postuva's Channels page or from Reddit's Preferences → Apps. Disconnecting deletes the stored token immediately. Posts already published stay on Reddit; scheduled posts for that channel stop.

How much does it cost to schedule Reddit posts?

The free plan includes 3 channels, 30 scheduled posts a month and 20 AI rewrites, with no time limit and no card. That's enough to schedule Reddit alongside two other networks and see whether planning ahead works for you.

Paid plans start at $15 a month (Creator: 10 channels, unlimited posts, 300 AI rewrites). Pro at $29 adds approvals, extra workspaces and team members, and Agency at $79 covers 150 channels for client work. Yearly billing gives you two months free. Every plan includes every network, so Reddit never costs extra.
